Pantalla ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

We collect the following types of data:

Contact Information

• Name: Your username and display name, used to identify you within the app and to your friends.
• Email Address: Used for account authentication, login, and account recovery.

Identifiers

• User ID: A unique identifier assigned to your account, used to link your data, friends, and blocking rules.
• Device Token: Used to send push notifications for access requests and approvals.

Screen Time Data

Pantalla uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings frameworks) to provide app blocking functionality. This data is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly create blocking rules with gatekeepers.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the app, including:

• Blocking rules you create (app names and schedules)
• Friend connections and gatekeeper assignments
• Access requests and their outcomes

Purchase History

If you subscribe to Pantalla Premium, we receive subscription status information from Apple to verify your subscription and provide premium features.

All data we collect is used solely for App Functionality. Specifically, we use your information to:

• Authenticate your account and enable login
• Display your name to friends in the app
• Enable the friend and gatekeeper system
• Send push notifications for access requests and approvals
• Process and verify subscription payments
• Provide customer support
• Maintain app security and prevent fraud

We do not use your data for:

• Third-party advertising
• Marketing or promotional purposes
• Analytics or user behavior tracking
• Product personalization beyond core app features

The following data is collected and linked to your identity:

• Name (username and display name)
• Email address
• User ID

This data is linked to your account to provide the core functionality of Pantalla, including the friend-based accountability system.

Pantalla does not track you. We do not:

• Link your data with third-party data for advertising purposes
• Share your data with data brokers
• Share your data with third-party advertising networks
• Use any SDKs that collect data for advertising purposes
• Request access to the advertising identifier (IDFA)

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With Friends: When you add friends as gatekeepers, they can see your blocking rules and receive access requests. Your username and display name are visible to your friends.
• Service Providers: We use Supabase for database hosting and authentication, and Apple Push Notification service (APNs) for push notifications. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS
• Secure storage of authentication tokens in the iOS Keychain
• Row-level security policies on our database
• JWT-based authentication with token expiration

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time using the contact form below.

Upon account deletion, we will remove:

• Your user profile (name, email, username)
• Your blocking rules
• Your friend connections
• Your access and deletion request history

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Export your data in a portable format

Pantalla is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
